Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has cooked up another new Hannah Swensen Mysteries film for fans to enjoy. The latest installment titled Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery will premiere on May 19, 2023 and is led by returning star Alison Sweeney. Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery Plot
When a skeleton is discovered amid the rubble of a renovation, Lake Eden is on edge. Hannah Swensen (Alison Sweeney) can’t help but investigate, much to the dismay of her fiancé, Detective Mike Kingston (Cameron Mathison). As she tries to piece together what happened and who the victim is, Hannah asks her mother Delores (Barbara Niven) for help. Can they bring the killer to justice and uncover the truth?

Alison Sweeney as Hannah Swensen
Alison Sweeney has starred as the titular character in the Hannah Swensen franchise since 2015. In addition, she starred in the Chronicle Mysteries films for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, as well as The Wedding Veil movies for Hallmark. Fans will also know Alison from her work on Days of Our Lives and her reprisal in the Peacock film Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas.
Since 2000, the 46-year-old actress has been married to husband David Sanov. They have two children, son Benjamin and daughter Megan. See a family photo below!

Cameron Mathison is a well known American actor; best known for his roles in soap operas All My Children and General Hospital. He was also a successful co-host alongside Debbie Matenopoulos for the Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family.”
He is a 53 year old actor, originally from Canada. Cameron is married to his wife Vanessa and together they have two children; a son and a daughter. You can follow him on Instagram @cameronmathison.

Where Did They Film the Movie?
Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison spent a lot of time filming their newest Hallmark movie together in 2023. The Carrot Cake Murder Mystery was shot in various locations in Canada. For certain scenes, they were in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada and others, they were filming in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. The scenes in the house, where Hannah was cooking took place in Langley.
