‘Open by Christmas’ on Hallmark Channel Plot – What is the Movie About?

Alison Sweeney portrays Nicky in ‘Open by Christmas.’ While Nicky is helping her parents move, she discovers a card that was supposed to be given to her in her high school days that she never knew even existed. You guessed it. In the card, a secret admirer confides their true emotions towards Nicky.

Nicky enlists the support and help of her lifelong best friend Simone (Durance) as she is set on a mission to find the identity of the anonymous author. Meanwhile, Simone is dealing with her own issues. As a single mother, she is afraid she is losing touch with her growing teenage son, especially as she plans on re-marrying and starting a new chapter of her life.

Together, best friends Nicky and Simone together help find answers to the past and present.

Who is in the ‘Open by Christmas’ Cast?

Alison Sweeney is best recognized for her longtime role on the daytime soap opera, “Days of Our Lives.” At the tender age of 4 years old, Sweeney first started her acting career. When Sweeney turned sweet 16, she debuted as Sami Brady on ‘Days.’

Did you know Alison not only acts but she also produces? That’s right. Sweeney stars and produces “Chronicle Mysteries” and “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” both for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

The 45-year old actor married her husband David Sanov in 2000. Together, they have two children, a son Benjamin and daughter Megan. You can see Alison with her daughter after she competed in a horse show.

In October, Alison shared a photo of she and her husband as they were out celebrating his birthday. Alison’s ‘Days of Our Lives’ co-star Kristian Alfonso commented, “You guys look so in love. 😍 Happy birthday, Dave!! 🙌”

She is super excited for everyone to see her newest holiday movie for the Hallmark Channel. “I’m so excited that one week from tonight is the premiere of my new Christmas movie with @brennanelliott2 & @durance.erica !! #OpenByChristmas premieres November 12th at 8pm on @hallmarkchannel 🌲 🎁 #tunein #christmas,” she wrote. Erica Durance is a Canadian born actor. She got her start acting in various television roles in Vancouver. She was offered her own show from Warner Brothers. Erica starred in ‘Saving Hope’ and it became the most watched series for 3 out of its 5 seasons.

Erica shared a few sweet snaps of she and “her boys” as she says.
