The Most Colorful Time of the Year is a movie airing on December 9, 2022 as part of Hallmark Channel‘s annual Countdown to Christmas event. Plot and cast details, photos and more are below.
Ryan (Christopher Russell) is a science teacher who meets Michelle (Katrina Bowden), an optometrist, whose daughter Bailey is in his class. While giving eye exams in the school gym, Michelle notices that Ryan lacks interest in color. She wants to give him an eye exam, but he’s reluctant and cuts it short, which makes her suspect he’s colorblind.
After confirming her suspicion, Michelle gets specialty glasses for Ryan but he refuses them. When Bailey learns this, she sneaks them to school and leaves them on Ryan’s desk with a note. As Michelle and Bailey are leaving, Ryan exits the class with the glasses. Michelle follows him into a building where a colorful nativity scene is lit up. When Ryan puts the glasses on, the world appears in technicolor. He’s emotional because he can’t believe how beautiful everything is. Michelle takes it upon herself to introduce Ryan to the world of color, setting off a series of adventures.
