‘Safe Room’ on Lifetime – Cast, Photos & Plot

‘Safe Room’ is proceeding the premiere of Single Black Female on the Lifetime Channel movie lineup. This original production will be followed by ‘Caught in His Web.’ It premieres on Lifetime Sunday February 6, 2022.

What is Safe Room About?

Safe Room surrounds the recently widowed Lila Jackson and her teenage autistic son Ian. Ever since the death of Lila’s husband, she is so grateful for their neighbor Neil who has taken on the role of protector, watching out for she and her son.

After Lila’s son, Ian witnesses a break-in across the street and video tapes the murder of the homeowner. When home intruders Dominic and Rocco learn they were recorded, they set their sights on Ian. They will stop at nothing to get that video evidence. Mother and son must work together to outsmart their intruders and save themselves.

The Cast

Ari Parker as Lila Jackson

Ari Parker is an American actress. She joined FOX’s prime-time soap opera, Empire in 2017. She is currently in a recurring role in Chicago P.D.

The 51-year old actress has been married to her “Safe Room” co-star, Boris Kodjoe since 2005. The couple married in Germany. Together they have two children, a daughter Sophie and a son Nicolas.

They are a Christian couple. In a cute video posted to Ari’s instagram, she admits she was trying to take a selfie with her husband when instead he said a short prayer. “Wanted to take a pic 🤳🏽 but Sometimes you need to say a little prayer🙏🏽 at the beach 🌊 right quick…,” she wrote.

He replied, “That’s me thanking God for you….”

Boris Kodjoe as Neil Hargrove

Boris Kodjoe is an Austrian-born American actor and model. He is on Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, Station 19 as Robert Sullivan.

He and his wife Ari reside in Los Angeles, California. The 48-year old actor once competed against his wife on a 2019 episode of Lip Sync Battle. A fun little fact is that he speaks German, English, Russian, French and Italian fluently.

Boris shared a behind the scenes photo of he and his wife on set for Safe Room. He was directing it, trying to protect his wife from some of the harsher physical scenes. Look at the exchange between the couple.

“Me: Babe, you don’t have get slammed against the wall again. We have your stuntwoman ready to go.

Her: No. Do it again. Harder. I want it to be perfect.

Me: Aaaand action!”
