Girl in the Shed: The Kidnapping of Abby Hernandez is an original Lifetime Channel movie joining the 2022 lineup after a successful run of ‘Caught in his Web.‘ This movie tells the true story of behind the kidnapping of Abby Hernandez. It will premiere on Lifetime on February 26, 2022.
Girl in the Shed: The Kidnapping of Abby Hernandez tells the true story of 14-year old freshman, Abby Hernandez. Abby (Lindsay Navarro) vanished while walking home from her high school in New Hampshire. This kicked off a statewide search for Abby, leaving her mom Zenya and the entire community contemplating her whereabouts.
Abby was kidnapped by Kibby (Ben Savage). She was then kept in a soundproof container and forced to wear a shock collar while enduring psychological, sexual and emotional abuse. Even though Abby was undergoing such intense mental abuse, she kept hope alive that she would one day see her family and friends again.

Lindsay Navarro as Abby Hernandez
Lindsay Navarro is a young Canadian born actress. She is a Christian. The very first thing she says in her Instagram bio says “Love God, love people.”

Ben Savage as Nathaniel Kibby
Ben Savage is an American actor, best known as Cory Matthews in the long running sitcom Boy Meets World. Years later he revived his role of Cory Matthews in Disney’s Girl Meets World.

This past May, he wished his mother a Happy Mother’s Day accompanied by a black tie affair picture of mother/son on Instagram.
Many fans wonder, is Ben Savage married to the girl who played Topanga on Boy Meets World? The short answer, no. It’s not clear if these two ever dated but they aren’t a couple in real life. They did reprise their roles of Cory and Topanga in Disney’s Girl Meets World.
