‘Single Black Female’ is kicking off the Lifetime Channel movie lineup in February 2022. This original production will be followed by ‘Line Sisters’ and ‘Caught in His Web.’ It premieres on Lifetime Saturday February 5, 2022.
What is Single Black Female About?
‘Single Black Female’ tells the story of envy. After suffering with the death of her father and a difficult breakup, Monica (Raven Goodwin) is trying to move forward with her life. She is thrilled when she lands a sought after hosting job for an afternoon talk show. Simone (Amber Riley) who is her new assistant also quickly becomes her close friend. Simone moves in right next door to Monica and completely immerses herself in Monica’s life.
However, underneath her sweet exterior lives a dark secret she is harboring. Once cracks in her facade begin to appear, Monica wants to sever all ties with her once close friend and assistant. Simone has other plans and is determined to take over Monica’s entire life for good.

Raven Goodwin as Monica
Raven Goodwin is a popular American actress. You may recognize her from her roles on Disney Channel’s “Good Luck Charlie” and on FOX’s “Glee.”
Raven announced her engagement to finance executive Wiley Battle in 2019 and the couple tied the knot in 2021.
The happy couple welcomed a child together in 2020, a baby girl.
In October of 2020, Raven posted a selfie with her ‘Single Black Female’ co-star. She wrote, “#SingleBlackFemale coming to @lifetimetv in 2022. Had a blast filming this with @msamberpriley@janetlhubertoriginal@kmichellemusic@iamdevale I LOVE THIS MOVIE can’t wait for ya’ll to see it!”

Amber Riley, sometimes known as RILEY is an American actress and singer. You will best recognize her from her role as Mercedes Jones on FOX’s “Glee.”
The 35-year old actress was born in Los Angeles, California. She is currently engaged to her fiance, DeSean Black.
In October, Amber competed on one of her favorite game shows, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. She won $250k for her charity! “I grew up watching Wheel of Fortune with my family during dinner. This was definitely a bucket list item 😩 Cherry on top? I raised almost $250k for A Place Called Home,” she wrote on Instagram.
