Writing Around the Christmas Tree on Lifetime: What is the Movie About?

Mikaela (Krystal Joy Brown) is a successful romance novelist who’s been unlucky in love. When she visits a quaint bed and breakfast for her annual Christmas writer’s retreat, she meets a dashing writer named Levi (Curtis Hamilton). He soon convinces Mikaela that she shouldn’t only be writing about love, but going out and actually experiencing it too.

Krystal Joy Brown as Mikaela

Krystal Joy Brown is an actress and accomplished talent on Broadway. Acting wise, she guested on Law & Order: SVU, Final Space, and The Equalizer series alongside Queen Latifah. Lifetime movie fans will recognize her as Danielle Sellers in Psycho Stripper. On Broadway, she plays Eliza Hamilton in the award-winning mega-hit musical Hamilton, and previously did HAIR, Leap Of Faith, and MOTOWN.

Curtis Hamilton as Levi

Curtis Hamilton is an actor. He’s known for his work in the films Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le, In Broad Daylight, and most recently the TV series Insecure. He also wrote, produced, and directed the short titled The Missed Call in 2015. Up next for Curtis is portraying Kelvin Johnson in the television show The Kings of Napa.
