Time for Her to Come Home for Christmas Plot

Carly (Shenae Grimes-Beech) is facing her first Christmas without her mother. Looking to avoid loneliness, she accepts a short-term job to lead a small-town church choir’s Christmas program. When Carly arrives, she meets Matthew (Chris Carmack), who is returning home after serving in the Army. Slowly but surely, Carly gets to know Matthew, the choir and the townspeople. Then, she stumbles across clues that suggest she may have been brought here for a life-changing reason. As the mystery unravels, this journey teaches Carly about love, trust and forgiveness.

Shenae Grimes-Beech as Carly

Shenae Grimes-Beech starred in the popular TV series 90210, as well as the hit Canadian series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Since then, Grimes-Beech went on to get married to husband Josh Beech and have two children named Bowie and Kingsley. Most recently, Shenae appeared in the Hallmark Channel original movie When I Think of Chr istmas, which premiered last year during the network’s Countdown to Christmas programming event. She is also a content creator and YouTuber who shares her family life and motherhood journey with fans.

Chris Carmack as Matthew

Chris Carmack currently appears in the medical series Grey’s Anatomy. Prior to that, he held roles on other TV shows like Nashville and The OC. Other credits include guest spots on shows such as NCIS, CSI: NY, Desperate Housewives, Smallville and CSI: Miami. In addition, Carmack also did a voice role in the animated feature Alpha and Omega. He is married to wife Erin Slaver and they have two kids named Kai and Cielle. When he’s not working, Chris and his wife often make reels and other relatable videos on their Instagram pages.
