What is The Professional Bridesmaid about?

Maggie Bailey (Hunter King) is a professional bridesmaid. Yes, you read that right! She turned being a bridesmaid into a business. Going pro was all thanks to her special set of skills. Now, she uses those skills to help brides navigate wedding planning. From the social-emotional dynamics to keeping things practical, Maggie’s got it under control.

Her latest client is Alexis Shepard, the daughter of Columbus’ mayor who is up for re-election. Alexis’ wedding will be the event of the summer, so the mayor’s team hires Maggie to keep everything on track. But, no one can know that she’s a hired bridesmaid, so Maggie is now Maisie, Alexis’ old friend.

Meanwhile, ambitious reporter Henry Whittington (Chandler Massey) is hoping to get close to the mayor for a scoop on pending parkland development. While Maggie’s busy with bridesmaids, she tries to keep Henry focused on the wedding. Doing all this while hiding her identity is tricky, especially when she starts to grow closer to him.

The Professional Bridesmaid Cast – Who’s Who?

Hunter King as Maggie Bailey

Hunter King is an actress known for Teen Nick’s Hollywood Heights, as well as CBS’ Life in Pieces and The Young and the Restless. Y&R even won King two Daytime Emmy Awards. You may also recognize her from the 2015 feature film A Girl Like Her. Hallmark fans will know Hunter from A Royal Corgi Christmas, Hidden Gems and Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths.

She has two sisters, Kelli and Joey, who are also actresses. Since July 2022, Hunter’s been dating Andy McNeil. “Is it too late to pick up bagpiping? 24 hours is all it took for us to fall in love with Scotland 💙,” she captioned these photos of her and Andy abroad.

Chandler Massey as Henry Whittington

Chandler Massey is an actor best known for his role as Will Horton on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. He began in 2009-2013, taking some time off for his studies at UCLA and to star in a couple indie films. But, he reprised his role in 2017 and can be seen in the Peacock spinoff Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem and Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas. For Hallmark, Massey debuted in 2021’s Next Stop, Christmas; more recently were: A Tale of Two Christmases and Heart of the Matter for the network.
