What is The Journey Ahead About?
Madeline (Robinson Peete) is an aging Hollywood actress who has no meaningful relationships. After a string of bad luck, Madeline hires her assistant’s friend Sarah (Bryant) to drive her from Los Angeles to New York City for an urgent medical appointment. The road trip has a rocky start, as Madeline and Sarah clash due to their different lifestyles and personalities. When their car breaks down and they’re stuck in a charming small town, the pair starts to find some common ground. As they get to know one another, they divulge personal hardships and each provides the support and unconditional friendship needed to help them through it, teaching the women that they can’t run from their past to create the future they want.

Holly Robinson Peete as Madeline
Holly Robinson Peete is an American actress. She is best known for her roles on 21 Jump Street, Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper and For Your Love.
The 57-year old Philadelphia native has been married to former NFL pro, Rodney Peete since 1995. He proposed to Holly, his then girlfriend when she was on set filming Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper. Fast forward and together, they have 4 children.
This summer she received a huge honor, with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!
Kaylee Bryant as Sarah
Kaylee Bryant is an American actress and model. She is well known for her role as Josie Saltzman on the series, Legacies.
The 24 year old Florida native is a newbie to Hallmark. The Journey Ahead is her first film for the network.
She has over 1 million followers on Instagram.
