Never Too Late to Celebrate on Hallmark – Plot & Cast

Never Too Late to Celebrate is the newest Hallmark Channel original movie premiering as part of their Summer Nights lineup. It joins other originals such as Making Waves and Aloha Heart. Starring real-life couple Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, the movie follows a woman learning about her heritage as her milestone birthday comes up. Plot, cast, photos and more are below.

Never Too Late to Celebrate Plot

Camila (Alexa PenaVega) is exhausted due to her busy schedule at the dental practice where she works. Then, she meets Javi (Carlos PenaVega), a substitute teacher working at the same school as her mother, Sherri. Camila joins Javi’s Spanish class so she can learn the language of her late father. Sparks fly as Javi helps Camila connect with her Mexican roots. With her 30th birthday around the corner, Javi encourages Camila to have a “double quinceañera” to honor her Hispanic heritage. Not one for big parties, she’s hesitant at first. But, Camila ultimately decides to celebrate in style. Through the process, she discovers what she truly wants for her next chapter in life. However, this new path may lead her and Javi in separate directions.

Alexa PenaVega as Camila 

Alexa PenaVega starred in Love in the Limelight on Hallmark Channel. She is also known for the Spy Kids franchise. The 34-year-old appeared in the movie Sleepover and led the short-lived series Ruby & The Rockits. Since 2016, Alexa has done 12 movies between Hallmark and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Some of those have even been co-starring with her husband, Carlos PenaVega. Alexa and Carlos have been married since 2014 and they have three children together. 

Carlos PenaVega as Javi 

Carlos PenaVega starred alongside wife Alexa in Love in the Limelight. He is also known for Big Time Rush. The music group had their own Nickelodeon show from 2009-2013. The band reunited for their Forever Tour in 2022. Fans may also remember him from the one-season show on the CW called Life Sentence. Like Alexa, Carlos has appeared in numerous Hallmark films such as Love at Sea and the Picture Perfect Mysteries franchise. In 2022, he and Alexa released their book What If Love is the Point. They have two sons and a daughter together, and vlog their life on YouTube via La Vida PenaVega.
