‘Morning Show Mysteries Murder Ever After’ Plot
What is the movie about?
Hallmarkies, get ready for a sixth installment of the Morning Show Mysteries! This series is based off the novels written by Al Roker who also executive produces.
In Morning Show Mysteries Murder Ever After, Holly Robinson Peete portrays Billie Blessings, a morning show host. As a newly single woman and top rated anchor for her show “Wake Up West Coast,” everything seems to be going well for Billie. That is, until a family friend of hers Maggie (Francesca Bianchi) asks for her help.
When Billie makes a shocking find that implicates Maggie’s father in a murder, Maggie persuades her to help clear him. However, it’s easier said than done when the city’s head of homicide arrives the scene and notices her involvement.
Detective Sergeant Tyrell Price (Lawrence) is on the case but careful not to compromise his investigation yet can’t help but being impressed by Billie’s track record. Detective Price isn’t the only man with eyes on Billie. Notorious ladies’ man and reporter, Carlos (Jayce Barreiro) ruffles feathers right away when he joins Billie’s morning show. His plan is to take her down during one of the segments but after seeing her interview skills, he takes up an interest in her.
Using her powers of persuasion in an attempt to clear Maggie’s father, Billie creates a plot that implicates some of the city’s most powerful people. He even enlists her Aunt Cassandra’s (Robinson) help to get close to them.
When Billie and Cassandra find themselves at a swanky affair with Carlos, Detective Price and a number of suspects, they realize the pressures of high society can in fact be murder.
Who is in the ‘Morning Show Mysteries Murder Ever After’ Cast?
Holly Robinson Peete as Billie Blessings
Holly Robinson Peete is an actress best known for her roles in 21 Jump Street and Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper. She’s also been a regular at Hallmark, having starred in the Morning Show Mysteries series since 2017 and starring in her own reality show, Meet the Peetes.
The 56-year old is married to a former football quarterback and the couple have 4 children together. They have twin daughters Ryan Elizabeth Peete and son Rodney Peete, Jr. and sons Robinson and Roman.

Colin Lawrence as Detective Price
Colin Lawrence is an actor born in London. He is best known for his role on the CW’s Riverdale and the Netflix series, Virgin River.
The 50-year old actor is a proud father and posted a sweet shot of the dad and daughter to his Instagram. “Sharing trailer…sharing screen time….sharing music with my co-star. Daddy/daughter making movies,” he said.
Colin shared this shot of himself from wardrobe that he worked on for a recent film. He captioned it, “Big city detective or small town cook?” referring to his role as Detective in the new Hallmark mysteries movie.
Holly Robinson Peete’s Take on Her Mystery Series
“One of the things I love most about Morning Show Mysteries is the character of Cassandra,” she said. Aunt Cassandra is played by actress, Karen Robinson. With this particular movie, Karen said she loves the romance element that has been introduced. “These two men are both vying for Billie’s (Holly) affections,” she said. “If they’re going to get to Billie, they have to get to Cassandra first,” she revealed.
The actor who plays Carlos says, “this is such an interesting script because you really don’t know.” “There are always great moments that keep that tension to keep the audience guessing,” Colin Lawrence who plays Detective Price added.
