Miracle in Bethlehem PA is an all-new original movie premiering December 21, 2023 on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. It’s part of the network’s annual Miracles of Christmas event and joins other originals like To All a Good Night and Heaven Down Here. Miracle in Bethlehem PA Plot

Successful lawyer Mary Ann (Laura Vandervoort) wants nothing more than to adopt a child and be a mother. When she finally gets the call that answers her prayer, Mary Ann goes to Bethlehem, PA just before Christmas to meet her new bundle of joy. However, bad weather forces her and newborn daughter Natalie to delay their trip back home. The local inn is full, but the innkeeper Frankie (Amy Groening) has a solution. Mary Ann and Natalie can stay with her brother Joe (Benjamin Ayres), who has a spare room.

With bad weather still looming, they extend their stay and take part in Joe’s family’s holiday celebrations, including time at the church. As they spend more time together, it’s clear there’s an attraction. Mary Ann is hesitant to tell her mother that she adopted a baby, and Joe shares that his life hasn’t been the same since the passing of his father. Both of them grow closer through their shared faith, and discover this could be the blessing they each needed in their lives.

Laura Vandervoort as Mary Ann

Laura Vandervoort recently appeared in a couple episodes of the TV series Sullivan’s Crossing. She held roles in Instant Star, Smallville, V and Bitten. Laura appeared a many made-for-TV movies such as A Christmas Exchange, Playing Cupid, Romance in the Wilds, Christmas in the Wilds and A Christmas Together with You. Vandervoort was seen in feature films like Ted, Jigsaw, Trigger Point and See for Me. In September 2023, Laura announced she was engaged to boyfriend Adam Coates.

Benjamin Ayres as Joe

Benjamin Ayres starred in Hallmark Channel’s original movie Field Day. He appeared in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries films Long Lost Christmas, Cranberry Christmas, Color My World with Love and the Chronicles Mysteries franchise. For Hallmark Channel, Benjamin also starred in You Me & the Christmas Trees. TV appearances include Saving Hope, Dan for Mayor, Less Than Kind, Burden of Truth and Family Law. Ayres is married to wife Erin and they have two children together.
