The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel has another original movie, “MatchMaker Mysteries: The Art of the Kill” coming up. It stars fan favorite Danica McKellar and Victor Webster.
Get ready for the third installment of Hallmark’s mystery franchise. Danica McKellar returns as matchmaker Angie Dove. Angie’s father, Nick Columba played by Bruce Boxleitner will be back and Victor Webster is Detective Kyle Carter in MatchMaker Mysteries.
Celebrity matchmaker, Angie Dove (McKellar) yet again finds herself in the middle of another murder investigation. However, this time the crime took place at the museum where her father Nick, a retired police detective is currently working a petty theft case of his own.
Who’s the victim? Clinton Jennings, who was an archaeologist working at the museum to authenticate provenances for recent acquisitions of Etruscan statues. Detective Kyle Carter (Webster) is called on to investigate the murder. Kyle and Angie unknowingly team up to solve this case with Angie using her keen observational skills and ability to read human behavior. Hopefully Angie’s keen sense will lead Kyle right to the culprit.
Danica McKellar as Angie Dove
Danica McKellar is best known from her iconic role as Winnie Cooper in the 80s show, The Wonder Years. She since has starred in 15 productions for Hallmark including Christmas at Dollywood, Love and Sunshine, Very, Very Valentine and many more.
Danica is also an accomplished mathematics writer. She has penned numerous six non-fiction math books which encourage pre-teen and teenage girls to succeed in math. A few of her titles include Math Doesn’t Suck, Hot X: Algebra Exposed, and Girls Get Curves: Geometry Takes Shape.
She and actress Candace Cameron Bure have both starred in their fair share of Hallmark movies. Danica sent a nice message to Candace on Instagram for her birthday with a selfie of the two at an event.
“Happy birthday to my friend and sister sleuther, @candacecbure !! 💕 From our days as child actors on #TheWonderYears & #FullHouse to our adventures on @dancingabc and now both as regulars on @hallmarkchannel & @hallmarkmovie 🕵️♀️, I’m more amazed every year at your grace and incredible beauty, inside & out, and so grateful for your friendship. Have the *most* wonderful day, and I can’t wait till we can get dressed up and go to big TCA parties again.”
Victor Webster as Detective Kyle Carter
Victor Webster is a Canadian-born actor. He is best known for his one year stint on NBC’s Days of Our Lives as Nicholas Alamain. He began working as a stockbroker and holds a black belt in karate. In the late 90’s he began pursuing acting. The 48 year old actor currently has been cast in 10 Hallmark productions including Puppy Love co-starring Candace Cameron Bure.
Just in February 2021, Victor announced he is engaged to his girlfriend Shantel. “Well she didn’t say yes…at first, first her legs buckled and she had to sit down, then she started crying and shaking and asking if this was real, then she started kissing me a whole bunch, then crying some more, then asking if it’s real and if I’m playing a practical joke, then…
I had to ask if that was a yes and THEN finally she said yes. Been an amazing journey so far, only gonna get better. Now you’re stuck with me. Love you,” he wrote.
