Lucas Bryant of Hallmark's "Country at Heart"

Lucas Bryant is a well known Canadian-American actor, not to mention he’s a husband to wife Kirsty Hinchcliffe, and a dad to two kids. His next gig is as Duke, a music mentor of sorts to Niall Matter and Jessy Schram’s characters in Country at Heart. If you’re curious to learn more about Lucas, including what else you might have seen him in, keep reading below for five fun facts.

1. Lucas’ most notable role was on the ScyFy series Haven as Nathan, a cop who tackles chaotic cases with a supernatural twist. The series ran for 5 seasons from 2010-2015. He tweeted a photo from the series finale, which you can see below:

2. Lucas was next seen in the Canadian political crime series Shoot the Messenger, where he played a newspaper reporter. The show aired for one season in 2016, and made Lucas Bryant a standout when it came to dramatic acting. In 2018, the show aired on WGN in America, so even more people could experience it!

3. He’s got a lighter side too: you’ve probably seen him in Hallmark Channel’s Secret Summer, Tulips in Spring, and/or Summer Love, all of which aired in 2016. It was a busy year for Lucas! Check out this behind the scenes shot (and his clever caption!) from Tulips in Spring

4. Being Canadian, there’s definitely snow, so it makes sense that Lucas is an avid skater. He had to use those skills in a movie scene, and he even tweeted about it!

5. In this hilarious behind the scenes video for Shoot the Messenger, some cast members were asked “What’s on Your Phone?” Lucas’ answer? He keeps “all his secrets” there – and even jokingly gave out his passcode to unlock it! The full clip is below:

You can see Lucas Bryant on Hallmark Channel’s new movie Country at Heart when it premieres on Saturday, October 3 at 9/8 c.
