Love in the Maldives Plot

Rae Parker’s (Jocelyn Hudon) fabulous, single life attracts thousands of readers to her monthly travel column. So, she’s surprised when her editor wants to send her to the world’s most romantic vacation destination. Rae’s adventurous spirit and luxe accommodations make it difficult to find the kinds of experiences she needs to write a column-worthy article…and it doesn’t help matters that she’s afraid of the ocean. After a few failed attempts, she realizes she needs some help and Guest Experience Expert Jared Joseph (Jake Manley) steps in. He makes it his personal mission to give Rae the adventure she’s looking for – but could that lead to something more between the two of them?

Jake is a Canadian actor who starred in the Netflix series The Order, as well as films such as Pursuit, Holidate, Midway and A Dog’s Journey. Recently, you may have seen him in the movie Infamous. Upcoming projects for Jake are Creepers and Outlaw Posse.

As mentioned above, Jake and Jocelyn are a couple IRL. They met through their mutual self-tape coach, and he proposed to her on their five year anniversary. “5 years and Forever ❤️ @jocelynhudon,” he captioned the Instagram.

Jocelyn is a Canadian actress known for Guillermo Del Toro’s FX Series The Strain, as well as CBS’ Criminal Minds and FOX’s 911. She co-starred with Jake in Netflix’s The Order and portrayed the lead role in Hallmark Movies Now series When Hope Calls. Recently, Jocelyn was on ABC’s The Rookie Feds as well as Paramount Plus’ V For Vengeance.

Jocelyn married Jake in Las Vegas in 2022. She posted about their special day to Instagram with a single heart emoji: “🖤.” They actually recently celebrated their one year anniversary in the beginning of March.
