It Takes a Christmas Village on Lifetime: What is the Movie About?

Mayor Alex Foster (Brooke Nevin) must convince the reclusive Darcy Hawkins (Corey Sevier) to loan out his family’s historic mill in order to make the town’s Christmas market a reality. It’s not an easy task due to a longtime family feud, but Alex slowly chips away at Darcy’s frosty exterior. As she does, their feelings grow, leading the unlikely duo to the prospect of love.

Brooke Nevin as Alex Foster

Brooke Nevin is known for her television roles in Animorphs, Breakout Kings, Call Me Fitz, and The 4400. Lifetime movie fans will know her from The Wrong Mother or Stolen from Suburbia. Brooke starred in a couple holiday movies for Hallmark Channel as well: On the Twelfth Day of Christmas and Jingle Around the Clock. Other films you may have seen her in are I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer and The Thinning: New World Order.

Corey Sevier is known for his roles as Timmy Cabot in Lassie and Gabriel McKay in North Shore. In recent years, he held a role on Hallmark Channel’s Cedar Cove, and starred in a few holiday movies for the network. Corey’s also done a couple Lifetime holiday films, including Four Christmases and a Wedding and Grounded For Christmas.

Corey is 37 years old, he was born on July 3, 1984. He was born in Ontario, Canada and has one brother, a model and actor Kyle Sevier.
