Candace Cameron Bure is coming home for Christmas…well, back to Great American Family, that is. The Fuller House alum will star in Home Sweet Christmas, a new original holiday movie premiering on GAC. Alongside Candace in the leading cast is Cameron Mathison. Details about the movie, including plot and preview, are below.

What is Home Sweet Christmas about?

Sophie Marlow (Candace Cameron Bure) is a successful mergers and acquisitions attorney. She is called home to Waynesbridge, Washington, following her great uncle’s passing. Uncle Henry left Sophie 60% ownership in his Marlow Maple Meadows, a sprawling patch of sugar maple forest. Though Sophie hasn’t been on the property in decades, she immediately begins retracing the happy steps of her youth. Then, she encounters Sam (Cameron Mathison), her long-lost, childhood friend. Sam has returned to the farm after learning Henry left him the other 40% of the property. The legacy property means a quick sale is likely, though Sophie and Sam will discover neither of them is ready to let go just yet.

Who’s in the cast of Home Sweet Christmas?

Candace Cameron Bure as Sophie

Candace Cameron Bure is an actress with a resume that includes Full House, Fuller House, as well as a multitude of Hallmark movies. Since moving to GAC, Bure has starred in films like A Christmas Less Traveled and the The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries. In addition to acting, Candace has her own production company, Candy Rock Enterprises, where she executive produces many of the films she stars in. Bure is married to husband Val with whom she has three children, Natasha, Lev and Maksim.

Candace recently posted about her excitement for the movie, saying: “We’ve been waiting 15 years to do a Christmas movie together and it’s finally happening!!!”

Cameron Mathison as Sam

Cameron Mathison is a Canadian-American actor and TV host. His acting work includes All My Children, the Murder She Baked and Hannah Swensen Mysteries franchise on Hallmark, and currently, General Hospital. Hosting work included Home and Family, Good Morning America and I Wanna Be a Soap Star. Last year, Mathison signed a multi-picture deal with GAC; his previous work with Great American Family includes A Kindhearted Christmas and A Merry Christmas Wish. Cameron was married to wife Vanessa with whom he has two children.
