Holland Roden is a famous actress known for her variety of television and film roles. She appears in the new Hallmark Channel original movie, Making Waves on August 5. The 36-year-old Texas native was born on October 7, making her a Libra. Libras are extroverted and like excitement, which fits the vivacious Holland perfectly. Roden is from a medical family, and almost went a completely different direction in her career. Holland attended UCLA and spent three and a half years as Pre-Med before taking up acting full-time.
She made her TV debut on an episode of CSI in 2007, and her film debut in 2009’s Bring It On: Fight to the Finish. From there, Holland went on to guest star on series such as Community, Criminal Minds and The Event. Film roles include No Escape, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions and Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman.
Between her Instagram and Twitter pages alone, Holland has accumulated over 7 million followers. Her dedicated fanbase eagerly awaits her next project, which is currently in post-production. The film is The Re-Education of Molly Singer. And last but not least: yes, she is a natural redhead. Holland proudly embraces the hair color that’s been dubbed a “Hollywood rarity” in this day and age.
Despite wearing heels in television shows and on red carpets, the actress is only 5′ 3″.
The hit MTV series Teen Wolf quickly catapulted Holland to superstar status. Her role of Lydia Martin garnered loyal fans and a 2017 Teen Choice Award for Choice Summer TV Actress. She appeared on the show for all six seasons from 2011-2017. In addition, Roden reprised the role in the 2023 Paramount+ film Teen Wolf: The Movie.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Holland has a podcast called Howler Back Now. It’s a nod to her Teen Wolf days, and she rewatches the series with various stars from the show.
Hallmark fans may already know this. But, Making Waves isn’t Holland Roden’s first Hallmark Channel credit. She starred in the 2022 holiday film Time for Him to Come Home for Christmas alongside Tyler Hynes.
In addition to starring in Mother, May I?, Roden stepped behind the camera to produce the film. It is currently available for pre-order via Apple TV.
Holland Roden was linked to her former co-star Max Carver. She also dated Ian Bohen, and after posing for photos together at the Teen Wolf: The Movie premiere, fans are wondering if they’re getting back together. Nothing’s been confirmed by either Holland or Ian. In the meantime, check out the fun photos!
