What is Haul Out the Holly About?

Following a pre-holiday breakup, Emily (Lacey Chabert) returns home to Evergreen Lane to spend time with her parents. When she arrives, she learns they’re going on a trip and leaving her at the house alone. Soon, the HOA (Homeowners Association) they founded comes knocking – literally. The HOA is now led by her childhood friend Jared (Wes Brown), and he’s determined to get Emily to participate in its many Christmas festivities.

Although Emily wants nothing more than to watch Christmas movies and drink cocoa, Jared issues citations every time her decor doesn’t meet the neighborhood standards. So, to work it off, she agrees to help out and is joined by her parents’ neighbors Ned (Stephen Tobolowsky), Pamela (Melissa Peterman) and Mary Louise (Ellen Travolta) in the events. Though Emily has never been sure whether to think Christmas is merely the longest to-do list of all time – or actually fun – maybe this year she’ll find out.

Who’s in the Cast?

Lacey Chabert as Emily

Lacey Chabert is perhaps best known for her role as Gretchen Wieners in the 2004 film Mean Girls. Fans of 90s television may also know Lacey from Party of Five, which ran from 1994-2000. Aside from that, she’s appeared in over 30 Hallmark movies, including Love on Safari, Christmas at Castle Hart and most recently, The Wedding Veil trilogy.

In 2013, she married longtime boyfriend David Nehdar, and in 2016, she gave birth to daughter Julia.

Wes Brown as Jared

Wes Brown is a familiar face for Hallmark fans, having appeared in 15 films over the years. Those include: Christmas Cookies, Over The Moon In Love, A Nashville Christmas Carol and many more. He’s also guested on series like True Blood, 90210 and Hart of Dixie

Wes has been married to wife Amanda since 2008, and they have one daughter together named Merribeth.
