Ni’Cola Mitchell (Tatyana Ali) is an author, publisher and speaker who realizes that her calling is to help disadvantaged girls. Ni’Cola knows what it’s like to overcome huge hurdles in life, including a difficult childhood and a cancer diagnosis. After putting her career on hold, she launches Girls Who Brunch, with events designed to make young women feel seen and empowered. With the support of her sister Nene (Nadine Whiteman Roden) and daughters Diamond (Kudakwashe Rutendo) and Destani (Mikalah Reid-Beckette), she puts everything she has into the organization, mobilizing volunteers, coaches and community leaders to help host events. When Ni’Cola is named A Woman of Worth by L’Oréal, sponsorship opportunities begin to come in, allowing Girls Who Brunch to expand nationally, traveling to dozens of cities across the country and reaching tens of thousands of girls in the process.

Who’s in the Cast of Giving Hope: The Ni’Cola Mitchell Story?

Tatyana Ali is an American actress who is best known for her role as Ashley Banks on hit 90s series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. From 2007-2013, she recurred on the soap opera The Young and the Restless as Roxanne and voiced Mrs. James in Fancy Nancy from 2018-2022. Lifetime fans will also remember Tatyana from the 2022 movie Vanished: Searching for My Sister. In 2023, she portrayed Mrs. Hughes on season 2 of the Peacock series Bel-Air.

The 44-year-old is married to husband Vaughn Rasberry and they have two sons.
