Doomsday Mom: The Lori Vallow Story on Lifetime – See Cast, Premiere Date and Video

Lifetime’s Summer of Secrets movie event will conclude with Doomsday Mom: The Lori Vallow Story. The lineup kicked off on Memorial Day with A Party Gone Wrong followed by The Secrets She Keeps. Doomsday Mom follows the infamous story of Lori Vallow, the mother who kept denying she knew where her kids were and didn’t talk to the media. Lifetime is premiering the Lori Vallow original film on June 26th.

Doomsday Mom: The Lori Vallow Story Sypnosis

Doomsday Mom: The Lori Vallow Story is based on the true story of Idaho mother of two, Lori Vallow. She quickly rose to national attention when her two children, JJ and Tylee were reported missing. The kids went missing in the Fall of 2019. Things went downhill quickly when investigators started searching Lori and her husband, Chad Daybell.

Investigators found out that they were involved in quite suspicious activity including a doomsday-prepper group. It didn’t stop there. It also included a trail of mystery around questionable deaths. Nearly one year after the children were reported missing, their bodies were found in Chad’s backyard in June 2020.

Who Stars in the Movie?

Lauren Lee Smith portrays Lori Vallow

Lauren Lee Smith is a Canadian actress and has acted in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Mutant X. The 40 year old actress was born in Vancouver, Canada. She is currently married to German photographer Erik Steingrover and has been since 2009. Bonus fun fact: Lauren keeps in shape by boxing! Check out this video from Instagram below.

Marc Blucas portrays Chad Daybell

Marc Blucas is a 49 year old actor from Butler, Pennsylvania. He is best known for his role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Marc has also starred in Hallmark Channel movies. According to Wide Open Country, he lives in a 300 year old Pennsylvania farmhouse!

Linda Purl and Patrick Duffy also star

Linda Purl shared a short video of she and her co-star, Patrick Duffy behind the scenes.

Linda and Patrick were also interviewed by ET’s Nischelle Turner for their upcoming Lifetime movie. “ET interview with adorable Nischelle Turner, coming up.🤗” she wrote.

The True Story

Lori Vallow Daybell was finally arrested in Hawaii in February. The charge? Child abandonment. She also missed a crucial January deadline where she was to deliver her children to the authorities.

Lori and her husband Chad have officially been charged with first-degree murder. The children were 7 and 17 years old. The children’s grandparents were the ones who reported them missing in 2019.

It doesn’t stop there. The couple is also facing charges in the death of Chad’s ex-wife, Tammy. She went missing around the same time Lori’s two children were reported missing.
