‘Crashing Through the Snow’ is an Original Hallmark Channel movie taking place in Hallmark’s Christmas in July movie event. All month long the network will air their original movies from past years for their loyal viewer base.
Maggie (Amy Acker) and her ex-husband, Jeff (Kristian Bruun) have a strong friendship. When Jeff’s new girlfriend, Kate (Brooke Nevin) invites Maggie along on their fancy Christmastime trip to the snowy slopes of Aspen, Colorado, Maggie jumps at the chance. Why? She really wants to spend the holiday with her two daughters. It’s not long before Maggie starts to feel like the third wheel in the trio with her ex husband and his new girlfriend.
However, she’s not alone for long when Kate’s brother, Sam (Warren Christie) shows up to crash the party. Always seeming to live in Kate’s shadow, Sam wants to put an end to that. He starts developing a relationship with Maggie, convincing her that he can help give her daughters the best Christmas they have ever had. But, are either of them really prepared to deal with the challenges of a blended family or the feelings they start having for each other?
