Candace Cameron Bure Presents: ‘Christmas on Candy Cane Lane’ got the green light from the Great American Family Channel. Filming will begin on September 19, 2022 starring Andrea Barber and Dan Payne. The movie airs on GAC December 3, 2022.

Christmas on Candy Cane Lane on Great American Family Plot
Candace Cameron Bure is developing this movie in conjunction with her Candy Rock Entertainment company. This will be her second movie produced for the Great American Christmas 2022 lineup. She is also starring in a movie of her own called ‘A Christmas…Present,’ premiering in November.
So what is this movie going to be about? Andrea Barber will co-star as Ivy Donaldson. Ivy struggles with her mom’s shadow, Muriel, the Christmas darling of Icicle Falls. She is now separated from her husband Rob (Dan Payne) and tries her best with her daughter. However, after a series of strange but comical events everybody gets together in unexpected but festive ways.

Andrea Barber is well known for her role as Kimmy Gibbler, the funny next door neighbor and best friend to DJ on Full House. She reprised her role as Kimmy on Netflix’s Fuller House for 5 seasons.
The 46 year old actress was married to her ex-husband, Jeremy Rytky from 2002-2014. Together, they have two children; a boy and a girl.
She most recently was in Nickelodeon’s That Girl Lay Lay playing a cheerleader. Her BFF Candace Cameron Bure commented, “You’re so cute mama!!!!!!”

Dan Payne as Rob
Dan Payne stars as Rob, Ivy Donaldson’s ex-husband in Christmas on Candy Cane Lane. He is a Canadian actor, best known for his roles in Virgin River, Christmas She Wrote, and and Descendants 3.
The 50-year old actor stands tall at 6’4″. In his early 20s, he was a professional volleyball player. Once retiring from there, he moved into the acting world with his brother Josh. He is a husband and a father to two boys today.
He and his wife like taking in sports games for date nights.

Andrea’s TV husband, Fernando on Fuller House wished his co-star well! “I love this!!!! Congratulations my love!!!” he commented.

Filming is taking place in Vancouver, Canada and the actors are starting to give us a behind the scenes look at their magical movie.

Someday I will be able to process this rollercoaster of emotions and put into words just how transformative this experience was. This was my first Christmas movie, my first time being #1 on the call sheet. Three weeks ago I was nervous as hell walking into the table read. And today I head home with a wealth of experience and new friends for life. I’m so grateful for my wonderful co-stars and our hardworking crew, and to our fabulous director @christiewillwolf for her leadership, guidance, and friendship. And I will especially miss my leading man, @actordanpayne, who made every single day brighter with his effortless charm, extraordinary talent, and genuine love for everyone around him.

Special Visit to the Set
Author of “Christmas on Candy Cane Lane” visited the movie set! Sheila Roberts surprised the cast. Andrea Barber who stars in it posted a photo of she and Sheila together in front of a beautiful and tall Christmas tree.
She wrote, “A special day on the set of Christmas on Candy Cane Lane! 🎄We got a visit from Sheila Roberts, author of the novel on which our movie is based. And what did she bring for all of us? Homemade candy cane-shaped cookies, naturally!”
