Big Sky River: The Bridal Path is a new movie premiering on August 11 for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. It is the sequel to the hit 2022 film Big Sky River. Stars Emmanuelle Vaugier and Kavan Smith reprise their roles from the 2022 movie as well. It joins other originals for the network such as The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango and A Lifelong Love. What is Big Sky River: The Bridal Path about?

Tara Kendall (Emmanuelle Vaugier) is now settled in Montana, dating Sheriff and Cowboy Boone Taylor (Kavan Smith). She is working to bring their family lives together. But, tensions arise as they realize blending their families is more challenging than anticipated. Erin (Cassidy Nugent, “The Good Doctor”) struggles to find her place in both families. She not only has to share Tara with Boone’s children, but her father James (Peter Benson, “The Wedding Contract”) is going to have a new baby too. However, a new foreign exchange student arrives in town, and he may be able to give Erin the attention she seeks. Meanwhile, country musician Casey Elder (Michelle Harrison, “The Flash”) has a new beau, and that relationship turns into material for her music.

Emmanuelle Vaugier as Tara Kendall

Emmanuelle Vaugier appeared in Supergirl and Big Sky River. Notable roles include Two and a Half Men and CSI: NY. The Canadian actress was also seen in One Tree Hill, Covert Affairs, Lost Girl and Mistresses. Vaugier’s film credits include Secondhand Lions, Absolute Deception as well as 40 Days and 40 Nights. Emmanuelle has been in Lifetime movies as well, including Dying for Motherhood, His Double Life and Betrayed by My Husband. Offscreen, she devotes time to her charitable foundation The Fluffball, which raises money for various animal charities. She has two dogs named Jack and Bella and a horse named Bunny.

Kavan Smith as Boone Taylor

Kavan Smith appeared in Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart and Big Sky River. He will reprise his role in the former during season 10. The Canadian actor also held roles on shows like Destiny Ridge, The 4400, Human Target, Supernatural and Fairly Legal. Fans may recognize Smith from last year’s Hallmark film You Had Me at Aloha. Kavan starred in other Hallmark movies such as Hello It’s Me, The Perfect Bride: Wedding Bells and Love on the Menu, which he also wrote. Kavan and Hallmark co-star Pascale Hutton are very good friends and often post one another on social media. Kevan is married to casting director Corrine Clark and they have two children. When he’s not working, he often enjoys baking, especially pie.
