A Tail of Love is a new Hallmark Channel original movie airing in 2022. It’s part of their spring movie lineup, aptly titled ‘Spring into Love.’ This film follows the last premiere of Love, Classified from April 16. **What is A Tail of Love About?**

Bella (Brittany Bristow) runs a dog rescue with her grandmother Lily that was started by her late grandfather. When they discover they are losing funding from their main sponsor, the rescue’s future is uncertain. Their main sponsor was a dog food company, but it’s being sold after the owner passed. JR (Chris McNally), the late owner’s son, is a soldier who is home on leave to handle the details of the sale.

While visiting the rescue, he quickly bonds with a retired military dog named Indie. So, JR continues stopping by to spend time with his new, four-legged friend. But when Bella learns that the rescue’s property is also being sold, she turns to JR for help. They must find the missing document that proves her grandparents purchased the land many years before. In the process, Bella and JR become close and start to fall for each other. However, JR’s upcoming return to active duty could put a halt to their budding romance.

Who’s in the Cast of A Tail of Love?

Brittany Bristow as Bella

Brittany Bristow is a Canadian actress. She began her career in commercials, guest appearances, and some films. Following that, she was accepted into the prestigious Canada National Ballet School. After graduating, Brittany returned to acting and built her craft by attending numerous intensive programs. She is a notable name in Hallmark Channel movies – she already has 7 on her resume! Those include: Holiday Date, Love on Safari, Love Blossoms, Christmas Next Door and Love, Romance & Chocolate. In addition to her network credits, Brittany is a producer, co-creator, writer and host of Wildlife Quest for the National Geographic library.

Brittany really loves her work. She shared a couple behind the scenes posts from filming. In one, you can see her alongside co-star Humberly Gonzalez. “The friendship I got to build with Humberly while shooting A Tail Of Love makes my heart so happy,” she wrote.

In another IG, she shared a perk from set, writing: “One of the best parts of making A Tail of Love? The puppy kisses!” Check it out below.

Chris McNally as JR

Chris McNally is a Canadian actor known for appearing in various TV series and films. Notable works of his include the CW’s Riverdale, TNT’s Falling Skies, FOX’s Lucifer and the Lifetime movie V.C. Andrews’ Heaven. But, currently, Chris can be seen in season 9 of Hallmark’s hit series When Calls the Heart as Lucas Bouchard.

He even posted a BTS photo with his When Calls the Heart costar Erin Krakow to celebrate season 9. “Big thanks to all the #hearties around the world for keeping this show on the road,” he wrote.

Similarly, Chris is also a familiar face to Hallmark movie fans. He starred in A Winter
Princess, The Sweetest Heart and Snowkissed. It looks like he had fun filming A Tail of Love too! “There will be tales of tails, centering around one tail in particular. Swipe to see some of said tails. I hope you enjoy the tales. And the tails. Obviously,” he joked in his IG caption.
