Great American Media has added another heartfelt holiday title to its sixth annual Great American Christmas lineup: Christmas by the Spoonful, starring Laura Vandervoort, Olivier Renaud, Ilan O’Driscoll, and Holly Bridges.
The all-new original movie will make its World Premiere streaming on Great American Pure Flix before airing on Great American Family and GFAM+ when the network’s signature holiday event returns this October.

A Story of Culinary Second Chances and Family Traditions
In Christmas by the Spoonful, food critic Lorraine Boulanger (Vandervoort) is an expert at evaluating fine dining, but she lacks any actual cooking skills in the kitchen. Faced with the task of preparing her family’s first Christmas dinner following the loss of their beloved matriarch, Lorraine seeks out the expertise of Pierre DuBois (Renaud), a talented local French food-truck owner.
However, their partnership hits an immediate snag: years prior, a harsh review written by Lorraine nearly destroyed Pierre’s business. As they collaborate to recreate the sentimental holiday recipes in honor of Lorraine’s mother, past grievances give way to the magic of the season, opening the door for forgiveness, unexpected connection, and romance.
Celebrating the Power of Holiday Traditions
Highlighting the themes of memory and togetherness, Allison Kendrick, Vice President of Development at Great American Media, noted the emotional heart of the upcoming release.
“Christmas By the Spoonful is a beautiful reminder that the holidays have a way of bringing people back to what matters most—family, forgiveness, and the traditions that connect us across generations,” said Kendrick. “Every Great American Christmas Original is thoughtfully crafted to celebrate the warmth, hope, and joy that define the season.”
