The holiday season might be months away, but for fans of Great American Christmas, the gift-giving has already begun. Great American Media officially announced that production is currently underway for a brand-new original movie, One More Christmas, slated for the 2026 season.
The film stars the “Queen of Christmas” herself, Candace Cameron Bure, alongside Jonathan Scarfe, a familiar face to fans of heartfelt romance and intense dramas alike.

A Second Chance in the Smoky Mountains
In One More Christmas, Bure and Scarfe play Anna and James Campbell, a couple who has been divorced for five years. While theyโve maintained a “carefully managed truce” for their children, their boundaries are tested when their daughter invites the whole family to her boyfriendโs rustic Smoky Mountain cabin for the holidays.
In a classic twist of fate, both Anna and James arrive a day early to avoid one another, only to find themselves sharing the cabin just as the worst ice storm in a decade hits. Trapped in the mountains, the exes are forced to face their shared historyโand perhaps discover that their love story isn’t quite over yet.
Spotlight on Jonathan Scarfe
While many viewers recognize Jonathan Scarfe from his roles in series like Van Helsing or the film The Equalizer 2, romance fans will remember him most fondly as George in the hit Hallmark movie The Dater’s Handbook opposite Meghan Markle.
His return to the genre alongside Candace Cameron Bure is a exciting moment for viewers who appreciate his ability to bring depth and charm to “second chance” storylines. Scarfe has been a staple in the TV movie world for years, and his chemistry with leading ladies always makes for a memorable watch.
Candaceโs Busy 2026 Season
