What is Girl in the Video about?
Widowed mother Mo (Cush Jumbo) is parenting her two teens the best she can. Daughter Krissy (Tia May Watts) has been secretly chatting online with Toby, whom she believes is a cute high school senior. One night, Krissy sneaks out to meet him at a party. However, the next morning, Mo discovers she’s missing. Mo and her son Robbie start to search for her and alert local detectives. Soon, the case garners media attention. Then, an anonymous tip reveals Krissy is being held captive and exploited in sexually abusive live streams for money on the dark web. Mo and Robbie must track down every clue to find Krissy before she is murdered.

Cush Jumbo as Mo
Cush Jumbo appeared on CBS’ The Good Wife and the Paramount+ spinoff The Good Fight. Next up for the British actress is the Apple TV+ series Criminal Record. Fans will recognize Cush from her role on the British series Vera, or from films like The Postcard Killings and Remainder. In addition, Jumbo has a slew of theater credits to her name, such as The Cherry Orchard, The Crucible, Richard III and Pygmalion in Manchester, England. In 2014, she married husband Sean Griffin and they have one son together.
Tia May Watts as Krissy
Tia May Watts starred in The Chelsea Detective. Other credits include episodes of Hollington Drive, Casualty and Midsomer Murders. Upcoming for Tia is an untitled Nikita project and a film called Deadly Gossip. She directed two short films as well. When she’s not working, Watts enjoys spending time with family and friends, and like any 20-year-old nowadays, posting events on social media.
