What is the Movie About?
Murdaugh Murders: The Movie follows the twisted true story of Alex Murdaugh played by award-winning actor Bill Pullman (The Sinner, Halston), who was found guilty in the double homicide of his wife, Maggie and his son, Paul. For over 100 years, the wealthy and powerful Murdaugh Family were a local dynasty in the South Carolina low country, where they oversaw the prosecution of all criminal cases in the state’s 14th circuit district. But behind all the power, black ties, and fancy dresses Alex had many secrets…
Even with all of Alex’s influence, he couldn’t prevent The Murdaugh Family’s legacy from being tarnished after Paul was involved in a boating accident that left a young girl dead. While Maggie was consumed with what was happening with Paul, Alex was hiding his addiction to opioids and stealing insurance settlements from his own clients to fund his habit and the family’s lavish lifestyle. Then in June 2021, Maggie and Paul were found murdered and eyes began to turn to Alex. The bizarre story continued when Alex was nearly shot in the head and his indiscretions and lies began to surface, leading to the eventual unraveling of Alex Murdaugh’s once charmed life.

Bill Pullman is Alec/Alex Murdaugh in the Lifetime movie. He portrays the father of Paul & Buster and husband of Margaret who is a lawyer living in South Carolina.
He is a 69 year old actor from Hornell, New York. Bill is the son of James, a physician and Johanna, a nurse.
Bill has been married to his wife, Tamara Hurwitz since 1987. She was a modern dancer. Together, they have three children; Lewis, Jack and Maesa. Lewis is an actor and Maesa and Jack are singer-songwriters.
You may recognize him for his roles in While You Were Sleeping, Casper, Independence Day, and Spaceballs. He played the love interest of Sandra Bullock named Jack in While You Were Sleeping, the 1995 hit movie.
Curtis Tweedie as Paul
Curtis Tweedie is Paul Murdaugh aka “Timmy” in The Murdaughs: The Movie on Lifetime. He portrays the youngest son of Alex and Margaret.
Curtis is in a relationship and the couple together have a dog. He made the announcement of his role alongside Bill Pullman in the Lifetime movie on his Instagram.
Kirsten Robek as Margaret Murdaugh
Kirsten Robek is a 48 year old, Award-winning Canadian actor. She has her BFA from York University and she began her career as a ballet dancer.
Lauren portrayed Harriet on CBS’s Fire Country.
