How did Dave Kroupa and Liz Golyar Meet?

Dave had just gotten out of a 12 year long relationship that resulted in two children. Living in Omaha, Nebraska and clueless in the dating world, he decided to try online dating. He said he was in an empty apartment, didn’t have any furniture at the time when he signed up and created a profile. The very first woman he met on there was Liz Golyar. She also had two children and they were about the same age as Dave’s children.

She owned her own business called Liz’s Housekeeping. Dave admits he thought she was very pretty and they set up a date to meet. Their first date was a very typical first date; they met for coffee and chatted. The date went really well and it was a casual relationship. Dave made that very clear.

Where is Dave Kroupa Now?

It appears that Dave Kroupa likes to keep a low profile, and who could blame him. According to a LinkedIn profile, he still resides out in Omaha, Nebraska. He describes his work history as a business owner out there. There aren’t any public social media profiles that belong to him.

What happened to Liz Golyar?

Shanna Liz Golyar was put on trial. The judge hearing her case ruled, “Cari Farver did not disappear and drop off the face of the earth. Very sadly, she was murdered.” Cari’s mom said she knew this all along.

The judge decided that the investigators were right suspecting Liz. She was the one behind all the harassing messages that were sent to Dave, Cari’s mom, and others. Liz was sentenced to life in prison in 2017. The judge gave her another 15-20 years for setting fire to her own home a year after the murder. This was all in an attempt to frame Cari.

Both Cari and Liz were dating Dave. Prosecutors said this is what fueled Liz’s rage. She took it further when she took on the identity of Farver on social media for years after. The Farver family said they feel a sense of relief knowing she got life in prison but that Liz showed no remorse.
