The Christmas Ball on Lifetime: What is the Movie About?
Lead ballerina Clare Fitzgerald (Deidre Mullins) is devastated to be let go before the Christmas season’s ‘Nutcracker.’ But, she jumps at the opportunity to visit her Aunt Bridget (Caroline Langrishe) in England during the holidays. While there, she meets Liam (Nick Hendrix), a local professor and historian who is helping her aunt preserve the family manor. When Clare discovers that Christm as Regency balls were once held at the manor, it prompts Aunt Bridget to propose they hold a ball as part of Liam’s presentation to the preservation society. As Clare and Liam continue their work together, a romance blossoms between them.

Deidre Mullins as Clare
Deidre Mullins is an Irish actress. She’s known for playing Naomi in Channel 4’s Man Down, and won a Scottish BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) for best actress in film for The Dark Mile. In 2021, she portrayed Kate in the miniseries The Drowning, as well as guested on Shadow and Bone and Angela Black.
Nick Hendrix as Liam
Nick Hendrix is an English actor. He’s known for portraying Detective Sergeant Jamie Winter in Midsomer Murders. Nick guested on episodes of The Crown, Marcella, Call the Midwife, and Black Mirror. In addition to regular television series, he’s held roles in the films Legend
