My Favorite Christmas Melody on Lifetime: What is the Movie About?
Abby (Mýa) was a promising singer-songwriter. But now, she writes uninspired jingles for commercials. When she’s home for the holidays, she’s enlisted by the local high school music teacher to help save the arts program. During all of this, Abby rediscovers her voice, regains her confidence to go after her dreams, and lets the possibility of love in. Rainbow Sun Francks also stars.

Who is in the My Favorite Christmas Melody Cast?
Mýa as Abby
Mýa is a Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter. After releasing her debut album in the late 90s, she quickly climbed the music charts to success. In 2001, she collaborated with pop icons Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, P!nk and Missy Elliot on a remake of “Lady Marmalade.” The song was featured in Moulin Rouge and became the most successful airplay-only single in history. But, music isn’t the only thing she’s done. Mýa competed on Dancing with the Stars and starred in the show 5th Ward. Currently, she runs her own independent label called Planet 9. Her latest single “Worth It” is available now.
Rainbow Sun Francks as Travis
Rainbow Sun Francks starred in Stargate: Atlantis and The Listener. More recent credits include episodes of High Fidelity and Rising Suns. Lifetime holiday movie fans will recognize him from 2020’s The Christmas Exchange alongside Laura Vandervoort. Rainbow is currently filming The Fallen Angels Book Club, which is slated for 2022.
