Hallmark Channel presents an all-new original movie on May 13 titled Dream Moms. Starring Tamera Mowry-Housley and Chelsea Hobbs, the film launches the network’s “Make Her Mark” Women’s Directing Program. Mowry-Housley will also show off her vocal talents by singing three original songs “Dream That Dream,” “Bring it Back” and “So Right” that are especially for the movie. What is Dream Moms about?
Danielle (Tamera Mowry-Housley) was a one-time off-Broadway performer and former backup singer. Now, she’s married to a successful lawyer named Mark (Roger Cross), and they are living in the Upper East Side with their ballerina daughter. Claire (Chelsea Hobbs) was an aspiring dancer; now, she’s a single mom raising her two sons while working as a bookkeeper in the Garment District. Both women’s lives are consumed by motherhood and they no longer have time for themselves or their dreams from years ago.
When Claire begins taking classes at a dance studio owned by Danielle’s brother RJ (Andrew J. Hampton), he gets an idea. RJ’s impressed with Claire’s dance technique and wants to bring the women together to compete in a nationally televised talent contest. As they start practicing, Danielle and Claire regain their passion for performing. But, when competing priorities arise with their families and cause them to reconsider, the pair realize they need to show up for themselves and their dreams. They compete in the contest and with the support of their families, Danielle and Claire learn it’s never too late to become what or who you want to be.

Tamera Mowry-Housley as Danielle
Tamera Mowry-Housley is an American actress. She’s best known for starring opposite her twin sister Tia Mowry in the series Sister, Sister, as well as the Disney movies Twitches and Twitches Too. From 2011-2013, she starred in a reality show for the Style Network with her sister called Tia & Tamera. Mowry-Housley is also known for co-hosting The Real and Home & Family.
Tamera married husband Adam Housley in 2011. They have two children together.
Chelsea Hobbs as Claire
Chelsea Hobbs is a Canadian actress known for Make It Or Break It and UnREAL. Hallmark fans will recognize Hobbs from The Holiday Sitter, June in January and The Nine Lives of Christmas. Guest star credits include The Good Doctor, Take Two, Lucifer, CSI and Supernatural.
The 38-year-old actress was married to Teren Oddo from 2007-2014, and they share two children. In 2020, Chelsea married James Neate with whom she has two children.
Sierra Staples as Sandra
Siera Staples is a young actress and entertainer. She goes by the nickname “Sisi.” She only started acting a few years ago and has been in a handful of roles including Christmas in Tahoe and Dream Moms.
Sierra hails from San Antonio, Texas and is 24 years old. She described her role as Tamera Mowry’s TV daughter in the Hallmark movie as, “An absolute “dream” come true🙊🤍” as she posed alongside her TV mom on Instagram.
