Xmas (known as #Xmas) is a new Hallmark Channel original holiday film starring Brant Daugherty and Clare Bowen. It premieres on November 25 as part of the network’s annual Countdown to Christmas event. Find out more about the movie below, including plot and photos.
What is #Xmas About?
Jen (Clare Bowen) is an interior designer who discovers that Hygge Home is having a contest to select a resident designer. She’s thrilled about the opportunity, until she realizes it’s focused on social media. Jen wants to be taken seriously for her talent, not because of showy social media posts. She avoids revealing anything personal online, but after her best friend Max (Brant Daugherty) encourages her, she applies as “Jen T,” a put-together design influencer. Max is playing her husband and her nephew portrays their baby. To Jen’s surprise, she’s selected as a finalist and is torn between continuing to play the “perfect family” or telling the truth. During all this, she develops deeper bonds with her family and friends, especially Max, who she begins to see in a romantic light.

Clare Bowen as Jen
Clare Bowen is an Australian actress and singer best known for portraying Scarlett O’Connor on the ABC/CMT series Nashville. In 2021, she starred in her first Hallmark movie Sand Dollar Cove. #Xmas will be her first Hallmark Channel original movie as the female lead.
Clare’s been married to husband Brandon Robert Young since 2017. He’s also a musician; together they formed the band Bowen*Young and are planning to release their debut album in 2023. Aside from that, Clare provided vocals to many songs of the Nashville soundtracks over its 6 year run, and also released her self-titled solo album in 2018.
Brant Daugherty as Max
Brant Daugherty is an American actor known for his recurring role as Noel Kahn in the ABC/Freeform series Pretty Little Liars. In 2013, he had a recurring role as Brian in the popular soap opera Days of Our Lives. Brant’s also a familiar face to Hallmark Channel viewers. He’s starred in Mingle All the Way, The Baker’s Son
In 2019, he married actress Kim Hidalgo, and in 2021, they welcomed their first child, a son named Wilder.
