In July 1895, New York\u2019s elite gathered in Newport, Rhode Island for a summer of balls, garden parties, and yacht races. 21-year-old Newport Observer reporter Emma Vanderbilt-Cross (Ali Skovbye) is covering the events. But, articles are the last thing on her mind when her half-brother Brady Cross (James Drew Dean) is arrested for the murder of Goddard (Cesare Scarpone), the Vanderbilt business advisor. Emma decides to prove her half-brother\u2019s innocence and discovers that Goddard had more than his fair share of enemies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the help of her crush, police detective Jesse Whyte (Danny Griffin), housekeeper Nanny O\u2019Neal (Gillian Barber) and coroner\u2019s assistant Harriet Rice (Amira Anderson), Emma\u2019s investigation is both dangerous and intriguing. So intriguing, in fact, that she\u2019s attracted the attention of the town\u2019s mysterious new stranger (Nathan Witte). As Emma grows closer to the truth, Goddard\u2019s murderer goes on the offensive, stopping at nothing to keep their identity a secret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
