Hallmark Channel is airing a 2019 fan favorite movie called ‘Love and Sunshine’<\/em><\/strong> starring Danica McKellar and Mark Deklin. What is “Love and Sunshine” About?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Danica McKellar plays a nursery owner named Ally who has a passion for plants. Ally also has a special place in her heart for animals. She has been fostering a retired service dog named Sunshine until the dog’s owner returns from the war in Afghanistan. Meet soldier, Jake portrayed by Mark Deklin. Jake has missed his family a lot and after two years, he is eager to reunite with his furry best friend, Sunshine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This does not come as joyful news for all as Ally learns she has to give the dog up that she is grown so close to. Sunshine is a beautiful golden retriever who gave Ally all the comfort she needed when her fiance broke off their engagement. Jake understands Ally’s pain and suggests they all go for a walk together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the trio take a stroll around the beautiful lake, Ally explains how Sunshine helped her get over her fiance, while Jake admits that she got him through a Dear John letter. Later, Jake offers to help Ally finish the deck her ex left for her to take care of as a thank you for taking such good care of his dog while he was out in the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Ally and Jake’s exes both come back into the picture to try to win them back, it becomes apparent who belongs with who. Jake’s former girlfriend cannot deny it any longer and admits to Ally that she should be with Jake. After the pair share a sweet kiss by the fireworks, everything seems perfect. That is, until Jake gets called back into active duty which calls everything into question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danica McKellar as Ally<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danica McKellar is a 46 year old actress from La Jolla, California. She is best known for her role as Winnie in the popular sitcom, The Wonder Years opposite Ben Savage. Danica has since played a big role in the Hallmark Channel movies and the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original productions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danica has been married once before to Mike Verta from 2009 to 2012. They had dated since 2001 and they share a son together named Darco. She is currently married to her husband, Scott since 2014. The couple got married on a beautiful island in Hawaii. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a recent Instagram post, Danica shows what it’s like to homeschool her son Draco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
