A Dickens of a Holiday<\/em> on Hallmark: What is the Movie About?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Christmas Eve marks the 100th anniversary of Dickens\u2019 Days in Dickens, Ohio, a Victorian festival that ends with the community theatre\u2019s production of ‘A Christmas Carol.’ But, when the lead actor is forced to drop out, director Cassie (Brooke D\u2019Orsay) reaches out to Dickens native and former classmate Jake (Kristoffer Polaha), now an action movie star who wants serious Hollywood roles. Working together is problematic at first, but the more they rehearse and take part in the holiday festivities, the more Cassie and Jake warm up to each other. Cassie shows Jake he’s capable of a leading man role; Jake helps Cassie realize she’s still going to succeed, even in roles she never expected: a teacher, coach, and leader. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
