The Disappearance of Cari Farver is a true story that is airing on Lifetime in the 2022 lineup. It tells the story of a love triangle gone terribly wrong including Cari Farver, Dave Kroupa and Liz Golyar. But another person that was majorly involved in the case was Cari’s mother, Nancy Raney. Where is Cari Farver’s mother now?

Cari’s Mother Got a Message in a Dream

Nancy Raney, Cari Farver’s mother recounts one night when she had a very vivid dream. Cari’s father who had passed away, came to Cari’s mother in this dream and said, “Nancy don’t worry about her. She’s with me.” “But of course I always kept hoping that we would find her,” she explained getting choked up.

About 5 months after Cari disappeared, she received a phone call. “I get a call from this gentleman telling me Cari is in this women’s homeless shelter,” she explained.

This was the first big lead they had. Nancy immediately rushed off to the women’s homeless shelter to pick up her daughter. The police met her there and went in first but came back out shaking their heads. Cari wasn’t there. “It was such a let down,” Nancy said.

Guilty Verdict…Justice Served

Cari’s mom was relieved after a judge ruled in her daughter’s case as a guilty verdict. “Every time we’d get a new email, text, phone rang or a new Facebook thing someone got was all horrifying,” her mother told reporters. “All of them worked so hard to come to this conclusion, I’m just so thankful,” Nancy said about all of the people involved.

Cari Farver’s mother, Nancy Raney sat down for an interview with 20/20 in 2020 for a special called A Tangled Web featuring her daughter’s case.

She and Cari’s son, Maxwell were living together up until Maxwell got married in 2020 to his fiance Sara. Otherwise, it appears that Nancy has kept a low profile proceeding her daughter’s case.

A movie about the case, The Disappearance of Cari Farver airs on Lifetime Saturday October 8, 2022 at 8pm ET.
