Lifetime is known for its “edge-of-your-seat” thrillers, but their upcoming premiere, The Boy With My Son’s Face, looks to be one of the most chilling mysteries of the spring 2026 Lifetime season. Starring Italia Ricci, Luke Camilleri, and Gigi Saul Guerrero, this film explores the haunting question: What if the tragedy you’ve spent years grieving never actually happened?

Mark your calendars for the premiere on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 8/7c.

The Story: A Tragic Past and a Shocking Discovery

The movie follows Susan Webster (Ricci), a woman whose life was shattered years ago. While battling severe postpartum depression and exhaustion, Susan was convinced by her husband, Mark (Camilleri), to hire a nanny, Amy (Siobhan Williams), and begin medication to cope with the pressure of new motherhood.

Tragedy struck one fateful night when Susan’s infant son died. In a heartbreaking turn of events, Susan was convicted of a crime she had no memory of committing.

Years later, Susan is out on parole and trying to rebuild a life out of the ashes. Everything changes when she sees a photograph that stops her heart—a picture of a young boy who is the “spitting image” of her son. The child is older, healthy, and very much alive.

The Hunt for the Truth

Determined to find out if she was the victim of a massive cover-up, Susan teams up with her street-smart friend Cassie (Guerrero). Together, they dive into a dark web of secrets and deception. As Susan digs deeper, she begins to realize that the people she once trusted most—including her own husband—may have been part of a sinister network that stole her son and her freedom.

The Cast

  • Italia Ricci: Best known for her roles in Designated Survivor and Chasing Life, Ricci brings a deep, emotional grit to the role of a mother fighting for the truth.
  • Luke Camilleri: Portrays Mark, the husband whose secrets may be darker than Susan ever imagined.

  • Gigi Saul Guerrero: Plays the tough-as-nails Cassie, Susan’s ally in the search for her son.

Is It a True Story?

While “The Boy With My Son’s Face” is a fictional thriller, its themes of “gaslighting” and the “stolen child” trope are frequent staples in Lifetime’s storytelling, often inspired by real-life cases of parental deception and legal battles. It serves as a cautionary tale about trust and the power of a mother’s intuition.
