What is the Movie About?

Jamie Vaughn (Lawson) is a small-town bookstore owner in Oregon who learns her
cherished store, True Love Books and Café, along with several other struggling local businesses, face a forced buyout with permanent closure. Leading the charge is Sawyer O’Dell (Page), lead architect for a powerful property developer – and Jamie’s former flame – who plans to revamp the district with more modern, upscale and profitable businesses, but with a catch. Because Sawyer is a local boy, he is tasked with returning to Waterford to talk with and convince all the business owners to embrace their vision and sign deals agreeing to sell.

If he succeeds, Sawyer will be rewarded a permanent position for Sawyer in the firm. His return jolts Jamie’s world as her past feelings for him come rushing back and is soon crushed to learn he is at the helm of the deal. As Valentine’s Day approaches and closure of these historic stores seems imminent, Jamie reaches into the bookstore’s romantic history by featuring recently discovered, timeworn Valentines on old-fashioned card stock from past customers. She not only hatches a heartfelt plan to save her beloved bookstore, but she must also sort out her old feelings for Sawyer when her most recent boyfriend Matt (Jacob Richter, “Legends of Tomorrow”) returns to town, and discovers true love doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to be true.

What is the Plot?

Tess Harper (Maggie Lawson) can do it all; she’s a successful doctor who has never met
a challenge she couldn’t handle with ease. When she travels from Boston to Chicago for her best friend’s four-day wedding event and learns the wedding planner has walked out, Tess is paired with best man Michael (Paul Greene), a divorce lawyer, to save the nuptials from one impending disaster after another. Tess and Michael are like oil-and-water from the moment they meet but as the pair works together throughout the week, they discover that not only are they not so different after all, but a strong attraction has developed between them. So, when Tess’ Boston based boyfriend shows up unexpectedly at the last minute she must make a life-changing choice between the bird in her hand or the potential for the true and lasting love she’s always dreamed of.

Where Was it Filmed?

My Favorite Wedding starring Maggie Lawson and Paul Greene was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. This is a very popular spot for many of the Hallmark Channel movies to shoot their original films. You will notice that the characters in the film are seen in a beautiful floral shop. It is actually the Maple Ridge Florist, which is actually a famous spot in Vancouver. “Christmas Joy” and “Road to Christmas” were also filmed at this florist, according to Country Living.
