A Merry Scottish Christmas Plot

Siblings Dr. Lindsey Morgan (Lacey Chabert) and Brad Morgan (Scott Wolf) used to be close. But, they have grown apart over the past few years. Reluctantly, they agree to visit their mom’s childhood home in Scotland for Christmas. Once there, they both enjoy Glencrave with its castle, Christmas traditions and friendly folks. Lindsey even meets Glencrave’s handsome estate manager (James Robinson, “Babylon”). However, the visit becomes complicated when the Morgan siblings discover a family secret. As they work to restrengthen their relationship, they must each decide what is important to determine their futures.

Lacey Chabert is an American actress. One of her most popular roles is Gretchen from Mean Girls. Since then, she’s gone on to appear in numerous Hallmark movies, such as Christmas in Rome, Christmas at Castle Hart and most recently, Haul Out the Holly. For Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, Chabert starred in the Crossword Mysteries franchise and recently executive produced and starred in The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango. Fans also know Lacey from her days on Party of Five. She is married to husband David Nehdar with whom she has one child.

Scott Wolf as Brad Morgan

Scott Wolf is an American actor. Like Lacey, Scott also appeared on the TV series Party of Five (they played siblings). Elsewhere, Scott starred in series like Nancy Drew, Everwood, Perception and The Night Shift. Wolf was in a Hallmark movie as well titled A Christmas Love Story. He is married to wife Kelley Wolf with whom he has three children. They currently reside in Utah.

What is The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango about?

Constance Bailey (Lacey Chabert) is a no-nonsense detective who is a lone wolf on the job. When a CEO is murdered in Malta, she’s sent undercover to investigate. The hitch? The ballroom competition between executives is still moving forward. But Bailey can’t dance. So, she teams up with British actor-dancer Sebastian Moore (Will Kemp). He will also portray her husband. Thanks to his TV-detective watching, Moore’s instincts are good. He soon helps Bailey to relax on the floor and in her work. But, there’s still a killer on the loose, not to mention a long list of suspects. If Bailey’s going to solve this case, she’s going to have to trust her partner.

Who’s in the Cast of The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango?

Lacey Chabert as Constance Bailey

Lacey Chabert is an American actress. She is known for Mean Girls, Party of Five and of course, numerous Hallmark films. Some notable titles include the Crossword Mysteries series, Haul Out the Holly and the Wedding Veil franchise. Chabert also voiced Eliza in The Wild Thornberrys animated series. Lacey’s appeared in over 30 Hallmark movies and in 2022, began producing her own movies for the network. That same year she released a clothing line with HSN.

In 2013, she married husband David Nehdar. They have one child together, a daughter named Julia. See the adorable throwback photo she posted on Easter with her daughter now.

Will Kemp as Sebastian Moore

Will Kemp is an English actor and dancer. Fans will know him from films such as Van Helsing and Mindhunters. Or, perhaps from TV movies like Hallmark’s Royal Matchmaker. Kemp and Chabert previously starred together in The Christmas Waltz and Love Romance & Chocolate for the network as well. Recently, he starred in Spinning Out and Hallmark’s Jolly Good Christmas. Dance achievements include Broadway’s Swan Lake and the West End production of Cinderella.

The 45-year-old actor married wife Gaby Jamieson in 2002, with whom he shares two kids.

What is It About?

In the third movie of the sequel trilogy, Tracy (Sweeney) is now head of the auction
house, and Nick’s (Webster) restaurant is doing so well that he’s looking at expanding. Their
success leaves the couple so little time together, they have yet to decide where to take their long overdue honeymoon, but finally settle on Greece. When a travel delay leaves them without a hotel room, they end up staying on a beautiful, secluded island at a fledgling inn run by capable local Tessa (Katerina Geronikolou, Moonstruck) and her well-meaning, if bungling brother Xander (Alexander Nicolaou, “Casualty”).

When Nick discovers that Xander is filling in as chef, despite his cooking being unpalatable, he cannot help but to lend a hand in the kitchen. Tracy meanwhile meets Leo (newcomer Ché Grant), a charming boy from a nearby boarding school, whose artistic talents are only rivaled by his knack for getting into trouble. Tracy cannot shake the feeling that Leo needs her help but finds her interventions unwelcomed by the school’s headmaster (Andreas Karras, Crooked House). Soon Tracy encounters a mystery when elegant Lady Dalton (Asher) and her grandson Colin (Nicholas Banks, Kingsman: The Secret Service) check in. Inexplicably, the veil – which Tracy had brought along to give to Nick’s sister – keeps winding up in Colin’s room. With sparks flying between Colin and Tessa, even skeptical Tracy may finally have to admit there’s something to the veil’s legend. As they spend time on the island, Tracy and Nick may also find that, though their honeymoon isn’t exactly what they had pictured, it might just be exactly what they need.

What is the Movie All About?

In the second movie of this sequel trilogy, Emma (Reeser) is sticking to her five year plan,
as Paolo (Bernardini) prepares to open a lace shop in Chicago with his cousin Matteo (Marks). On track to assume a promotion to department chair, Emma feels strongly that things fall into place before she and Paolo can consider growing their family. However, Paolo worries that that day may never come. When a crisis at home calls Paolo back to Italy, the couple must navigate busy schedules to make time for each other from afar.

Missing Paolo, Emma bumps heads with Nancy (Lynda Boyd, “Virgin River”), the current chair of her department and begins to question her life choices. Thankfully, she has frequent calls, texts and visits with Tracy (Sweeney) and Avery (Chabert), who seem to know her better than she knows herself. She also has a friend in her smart and quirky teacher’s aide, Lily (Rohl), who provides Emma with a novel opportunity to get people excited about art, but it might mean giving up everything she’s worked for. Meanwhile, Emma cannot help but notice a spark between Lily and Matteo – who both happened to be touching the veil when they met. As Emma tries to get Lily to trust her heart, she must find the courage to stop planning her own dream life and start living it.

The Plot Line

What is the movie about?

Hallmarkies, get ready for the fifth installment of the brain teasing “Crossword Mysteries” movies. Interestingly enough, these movies were co-created by New York Times puzzle editor Will Shortz.

In Crossword Mysteries: Riddle Me Dead, Tess (Lacey Chabert) is invited on her Aunt Candace’s (Barbara Niven) favorite game show, “Riddle Me This.” Tess will be trusted as a special clue-reader on the show. However, things take an unexpected twist when the host is killed mysteriously.

When they learn that multiple crew members including Hunter (Jon Cor), who happens to be Tess’s ex had motive and access, could this be too much of a puzzling crime for even Tess to solve?

Lacey Chabert has a long list of accomplishments. She is quite possibly best recognized for not only her role as Erica Kane’s daughter on All My Children. Lacey was the third actress to portray Bianca Montgomery on the longtime running soap. Who could also forget her as Gretchen Wieners in the 2004 hit ‘Mean Girls’ opposite Rachel McAdams? Most recently she continues to add to her resume with over 18 movies for the Hallmark Channel and 5 for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

The 38-year old actress married David Nehdar in a 2013 ceremony in Los Angeles, California. She gave birth to her daughter Julia in 2016.

Brennan Elliott as Logan O’Connor

Actor Brennan Elliott is best recognized for his portrayal as Dr. Nick Biancavilla in the Lifetime medical drama series, Strong Medicine which ran from 2000-2004. He has appeared in various shows such as Monk, Grey’s Anatomy, Cold Castle, Castle, and more. In 2013, Elliott began starring as Warren Saget on the Hallmark Channel series, Cedar Cove.

The 46 year old actor is married to his wife Cami and the couple have two children together.

Brennan talked about his upcoming Crossword Mysteries film on Instagram with a photo of he and Lacey saying, “C u all #april11 with my friend, costar and my partner @thereallacey for an all new very exciting movie #crosswordmysteriesriddlemedead and we are hoping to c u ALL there too! C u soon #sleuthers things are about to get personal!!”
