A Zest for Death: A Hannah Swensen Mystery Plot

They say the real estate business is deadly, but no one is more surprised than Hannah
Swensen (Sweeney) when her mother, Delores (Niven), discovers the dead body of the
homeowner – and regular customer of The Cookie Jar – while house-hunting for her sister
Michelle (Tess Atkins, “The Flash”). Hannah is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery and is convinced that the prime suspect Mike (Mathison) and the Sheriff (Mike Dopud, “Charmed”) are focusing on isn’t the culprit. Hannah’s sleuthing becomes a family affair when Delores, Michelle and even her sister Andrea (Lisa Durupt, “Time for Them to Come Home for Christmas”) – who pays an unexpected visit – take part in the investigation. As Hannah uncovers clues she slowly rules out suspects and is led to the shocking truth about the killer’s identity.

Sweet Revenge Plot

Hannah Swensen (Sweeney) and Det. Mike Kingston (Mathison) have enough on their
plates as they try to plan a wedding. Now, a body has turned up at Hannah’s 24-hour gym –
with Hannah’s baked goods at the scene of the crime. They’ll need to put their heads together once more to solve this case. Meanwhile, Hannah struggles to find the perfect cream puff recipe to serve at her mother Delores’s (Niven) Regency-themed book release gala, unaware that the story in the romance novel may hit too close to home.

When a skeleton is discovered amid the rubble of a renovation, Lake Eden is on edge. Hannah Swensen (Alison Sweeney) can’t help but investigate, much to the dismay of her fiancé, Detective Mike Kingston (Cameron Mathison). As she tries to piece together what happened and who the victim is, Hannah asks her mother Delores (Barbara Niven) for help. Can they bring the killer to justice and uncover the truth?

Alison Sweeney as Hannah Swensen

Alison Sweeney has starred as the titular character in the Hannah Swensen franchise since 2015. In addition, she starred in the Chronicle Mysteries films for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, as well as The Wedding Veil movies for Hallmark. Fans will also know Alison from her work on Days of Our Lives and her reprisal in the Peacock film Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas.

Since 2000, the 46-year-old actress has been married to husband David Sanov. They have two children, son Benjamin and daughter Megan. See a family photo below!

Cameron Mathison as Mike

Cameron Mathison is a well known American actor; best known for his roles in soap operas All My Children and General Hospital. He was also a successful co-host alongside Debbie Matenopoulos for the Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family.”

He is a 53 year old actor, originally from Canada. Cameron is married to his wife Vanessa and together they have two children; a son and a daughter. You can follow him on Instagram @cameronmathison.
