Sister Swap: Christmas in the City on Hallmark Channel: What is the Movie About?

Note: If you haven’t seen the first film – Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday – then there are some spoilers ahead in this description. While the stories are interconnected via the two sisters, the first film focuses on Jennifer, this one focuses more on Meg.

Jennifer (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and Meg Swift (Ashley Williams) are sisters who are very close despite living in different cities. Meg goes to Salt Lake City from her hometown in Hazelwood to see Jennifer, who runs a restaurant. After losing their Uncle Dave (Kevin Nealon), a change of scenery and a new project are just what she needs. When Jennifer and her son Simon ((Jacob Buster) return to Hazelwood for a family visit, Meg offers to help Jennifer’s staff prepare for a competition. As Meg works alongside Joe (Keith Robinson), the restaurant’s manager, they discover their differences are what make them a great team. Swapping cities with her sister leads Meg to her next life chapter and might also bring her unexpected romance.

Real-life sisters Ashley Williams (Hallmark’s Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater) and Kimberly Williams-Paisley (Father of the Bride) lead the cast. For more information on their bios, check out our previous article.

Keith Robinson portrays a lead love interest in the film. He was featured in the first movie as well. Aside from that, he’s known for TV series Saints & Sinners

Kevin Nealon is known for Man With a Plan and for his comedic work on Saturday Night Live. Jacob Buster is known for his role on Colony, and the upcoming pilot Let the Right One In.
