SISTER SWAP A HOMETOWN HOLIDAY

Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday is airing in December on Hallmark Channel as part of their annual Countdown to Christmas event. It follows previous weekends of movie premieres such as A Very Merry Bridesmaid. Find out some plot and cast details, see a few photos, and even a preview of the film below.

Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday on Hallmark: What is the Movie About?

Jennifer (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and Meg Swift (Ashley Williams) are sisters who are very close even though they live in different cities. Jennifer runs a restaurant in Salt Lake City, which she started with her late husband and is raising her son Simon (Jacob Buster). She couldn’t be happier when Meg comes to Salt Lake City for a Christmas weekend, and agrees to stay and help with the restaurant. Meanwhile, Jennifer and Simon return home to Hazelwood for the holiday, wanting to spend one more Christmas at The Madison – the local movie theater owned by their Uncle Dave (Kevin Nealon).

The only problem is that the theater is for sale and needs repairs. With the help of Eric (Mark Deklin), Jennifer’s former high school debate team rival, and the rest of the community, they may pull off one last encore. As Jennifer and Eric work together, she’s reminded that new possibilities happen when you least expect them, and they’re exactly where you left them.

The movie features an original song “L ast Year,” performed by Kelleigh Bannen and written by Grammy Award-winning country star Brad Paisley. See a sneak peek below:

  2. Very confusing as to who died, who is related to whom, etc. Aunt, uncle, father, mother….all very confusingly written.

  3. Why do the sisters have the same last name? I thought the man in video was Simon’s dad/late husband, but then he was identified as “Uncle Dave”. Why is Meg grieving?
