Lifetime Channel will be airing 6 new original movies based off true stories for the summer 2021 lineup. ‘Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story’ is based on a true story of a teenage girl who fought for her life three times. It stars Jennie Garth and Anwen O’Driscoll and is the third in the lineup following ‘Soccer Mom Madam.’ The film was shot in Ontario, Canada. A few scenes were filmed at the Scottish Rite Club of Hamilton.
‘Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story’ on Lifetime Plot – Based on a True Story
Anwen O’Driscoll portrays Ashley Reeves, the 17-year old girl left for dead in the woods following a brutal attack. After enduring nearly 30 hours in the freezing cold, lying in the dirt, and paralyzed, the police find Ashley alive. Her injuries are so severe that she has to re-learn how to walk and talk again.
Though she has no memory of what heppened to her during the attack, she begins a long recovery searching her shattered memory to uncover what took place and who did this to her. She had to fight for her life three separate times; in the woods, in the hospital and in court.

Anwen O’Driscoll as Ashley Reeves
Anwen O’Driscoll is a Canadian-born actress. She is known for her roles in Emerald Code and October Faction. Anwen was born on July 4, 1999.

The actress best known for her iconic roles on Beverly Hills 90210 and What I Like About You co-starring Amanda Bynes.
She has been married three times. First to Daniel Clark from 1994 to 1996; second to Peter Facinelli from 2001 to 2013 and currently married to Dave Abrams since 2015.

The 49-year old mother of three posted a behind the scenes photo from her time on the Lifetime movie set. “I’m not supposed to post about the movie I’m doing…hope this doesn’t end me up in the hoose-gow 🤫 See what I did there?😉” she wrote.
“Spending Monday with my pretend family,” she wrote on a selfie of she and the cast of “Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story.”
Jennie’s real life teenage daughter recently attended the prom. She documented it on her official Instagram, writing “Ok, so tbh when my daughter said “I wanna make my prom dress” she really meant “Mom I want you to make my prom dress”

James Gallanders as Ashley’s dad
James is a 51 year old actor, born in Toronto, Canada. His most recent work prior to his role on Lifetime’s “Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story,” was in the Emmy Award-winning mini-series The Kennedys.
He has been married to his wife Stacie since 2009. James shared a photo he shot of his wife and two young children on Mother’s Day.
James shared a series of behind the scenes photos from his Lifetime movie. “Had so much fun working with my pretend wife @jenniegarth pretend daughter @axrrow and some cop @sebasroberts the past few weeks. Jennie said I was a perfect husband! Okay exact words were “perfectly annoying” but the word perfect was in there,” he wrote.
