Hallmark Channel is continuing its annual Summer Nights programming event with an all-new original movie, Aloha Heart. Kanoa Goo stars as Manu in the film, alongside Hallmark veteran Taylor Cole. This will be Kanoa’s Hallmark Channel movie debut. Get to know him below, including filmography, background, education and more with these five fun facts.
Who is Kanoa Goo?
1) Kanoa was born and raised in Hawaii. Specifically, he was born in Honolulu. In a recent interview with Honolulu Magazine, Goo reminisced about the time he spent with family on Kaimana Beach.
2) He began booking commercials as a child after attending acting camp. Commercials for things like KFC allowed him to continue pursuing his dream. After graduating from NYU, he moved to LA in 2014.
3) His big break came with the award-winning film I Was A Simple Man. This film then led him to secure a recurring role on seasons 4 and 5 of ABC’s The Rookie. He portrayed Chris Sanford in 13 episodes.
Shortly afterwards, Kanoa booked a role on CBS’ breakout series Fire Country. He told Cinema Blend
4) In 2022, Goo returned to his theater roots. He starred in the play Sanctuary City at the famous Pasadena Playhouse.
5) Upcoming for Kanoa is the indie film Chaperone, which will be on location in Hawaii, just like his Hallmark movie! Presumably this is the role that had him dye his once dark brown hair blonde. Check out some photos below!
