What is ‘Her Pen Pal’ About?
Event planner, Victoria (Mallory Jansen) cannot wait to attend and plan her very best friend’s wedding. Where is the wedding taking place? In none other than the romantic city, Paris. But, when she finds out that her ex boyfriend is bringing a date to the wedding, she reconnects with her French childhood pen pal.

Mallory Jansen as Victoria
Mallory is an Australian actress. She is best known for her roles in the following ABC series: Galavant, Baby Daddy and Young & Hungry. She co-starred as Madalena in Galavant and had recurring roles in the latter two series.
After Galavant was cancelled, she joined the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. At the end of April, Mallory announced that she is part of the cast of the new series, ‘The Big Leap’ on Fox starring Scott Foley and Teri Polo.
The 31-year old actress was born in Melbourne, Australia. She has been married to her husband, Simon Phan since 2014. Two years into her marriage, she and her husband Simon took in a fun LA Dodgers baseball game. Take a look at a selfie from the day out!
Mallory reconnected with a former co-star from Young & Hungry, Emily Osment in 2019. They may have played enemies on the screen, but they seem to be close IRL. She wrote, “So happy to see her in person…not just on another billboard!?”
Joshua Sasse as Jacques
Joshua Sasse is a British actor, born in London, England. This isn’t the first time he has co-starred alongside Mallory Jansen from his new Hallmark movie, ‘Her Pen Pal.’ They starred together in the ABC series, Galavant. Joshua portrayed Sir Galavant. He was most recently in the CW series, No Tomorrow. He portrayed Xavier from 2016-2017.
The 33 year old actor got married to singer Kylie Minogue in 2015 before ending two years later in 2017. The couple have a son together born in 2013 named Sebastian. Currently, Joshua is married to Louisa Ainsworth since 2018.
It looks like Mallory and Joshua had a lot of fun while filming ‘Her Pen Pal’ for Hallmark. He posted a group of photos behind the scenes. The caption read, “Work isn’t work when it’s this fun…or when you have to eat French baguettes, croissants and begnet’s during your scenes.”

However🙄the casting director for “My Pen Pal” sucked!
Sorry, but the casting for the groom just was AWFUL, good actor but he looked like a “girl” with breasts. I felt sorry for him😢. I did not enjoy the movie.
I love this Movie! I felt connected to the two main characters Victoria and Jacques I wanted them to get together and become partners in life as well as in business. The story was sweet of love reconnecting from years ago. I must admit I have watch this movie more than once as it made my day and made me smile.I think these two show do another movie together they seem so natural.
